The SSE Arena, Wembley was the scene for a lavish production on a scale even Queen themselves would have been proud of: the world premiere of Bohemian Rhapsody, charting the band’s rise to fame and the life of their legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury.
In keeping with their over-the-top approach, this was no ordinary premiere. An audience of 7000 film makers, studio executives, media, special guests and Queen fans joined the cast of the film and band members Bryan May and Roger Taylor on the red carpet and at the screening, at the scene of Queen’s renowned performance at Live Aid in 1985.
